PTO Mission

• Our mission is to work in partnership with our
  families, faculty and community to provide
  resources for our school through fundraising and
  volunteering. We strive to support our students
  in an academic environment that encourages
  character building.

2007-2008 Goals

• Provide financial support for the Schools
  academic and arts priorities
• Drive to over 80 parent involvement
• Strengthen relationship with Teachers,
  Administration and the School Leadership Team
• Develop partnership's with the local community
• Maintain and improve communications with all
  constituencies

2007-2008 Success Measure

• Fund as many school priority needs as possible
• 80 of Washam families have volunteered
• Parents.
• Believe they are informed
• Consistently state Washam offers convenient ways
  to volunteer
• Feel welcomed and engaged
• Teacher classroom needs are met and in some
  cases, exceeded

• Updated PTO mission statement
• Book Fair 14,667.18 in book sales and AND
  3,065.48 in loose change to purchase books for
  the media center
• 10,000 provided to Teachers for academic and
  classroom needs
• 1,500 for Student Care fund, Character
  Education, Hustling Hawks, and more

Accomplishments

• 590 in Dining Out nights used to buy Safety
  Backpacks
• 13,764.39 raised from Mink Co fundraiser.
• Implemented Room parent orientation process
• 6,462.50 raised from Citipass Sales
• NEW electronic version of the Hawkeye and PTO
  news
• Volunteers have supported 6 Make it days

Accomplishments

• Supported the 2nd Annual Faculty/Parent Football
  Game and Paint the Town December program
• Celebrated 24 Teacher Birthdays with food and
  gifts
• Coordinated four Coffee Chats with Mr. G
• 4,000 for student education programs
• 320 in sales for beautification
• XXX of books donated gently used book drive
