• Marshes
• Prairie Potholes
• Bogs
• We have swamps and marshes in Mississippi.

• There are three benefits of the wetlands.
• You can fish and hike in them.
• They filter out bad things.
• They provide seafood for humans and animals.

• Salt Grass is an important food source for geese
  and other birds.
• Swamp lillies are found in the southeastern U.S.

• Palmettos provide shade for Diamondback
  Rattlesnakes.

• Sweet gum trees have leaves with 5 or 7 pointed
  lobes.

• The egret holds its neck in an S curve when in
  flight.

• Tree frogs were the basis for Kermit the Frog!
