What is NHREC?

• New Horizons is a comprehensive, regional
  education center serving school districts
  Gloucester, Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson,
  Williamsburg-James City County and York County.
• Center includes Governors School for Science and
  Technology, Transition Services, Center for
  Autism and Newport Academy, Adult Education
  Programs and HS Career and Technical Programs.
• Center is not an alternative school. It is an
  extension of the school divisions it serves.

• Articulation - Upon leaving NHREC, may use
  credits at TNCC only. Also, must receive an A
  or B in course.
