POC AVN TAFFO
2PURPOSE
To inform future Augmentee O/Cs on the
process, expectations, and requirements as an O/C
at the JRTC.
The Aviation Division depends on Augmentee
experience to effectively observe training and
enhance the collective training of the aviation
task force.

Requirements
4MANNING
- Specific O/C augmentation requirements depend
on the type of units deploying and approved
exceptions to FORSCOM Regulation 350-50-2 for
additional unit/equipment employment. The
exceptions are addressed at the D-180 Conference
and filled upon approval of the troop list by the
units division, corps, and MACOM.
5TYPES OF AUGMENTEES
- Flight Augmentees - Co Grade Officers/ Warrant
Officers

Trainers - - fly in
OH-58C aircraft and observe - AH-64s and OH-58Ds
- -assist Assault Company Trainers
- - fly in back of UH-60/CH-47
- Battle Staff (TOC/ALOC) Augs

- assist the Battle Staff - Non-Commissioned Officer Augs
- - NCOs
- - assist Company Trainers, the
Battle Staff, Maintenance,
MEDEVAC, and FARP teams
6INPROCESSING
- Arriving personnel will report to the Magnolia
Guest House and sign in on D-4. They will be
given billets in the Warrior Keep and have access
to a dining facility. - The Aviation Division does provide a TMP van
for all augmentee O/Cs for in and around use.
TMP van and Tactical vehicle use is not available
until linkup with the AVN TAFFO and/or
counterpart O/Cs.
7TRAINING
- O/C augmentation training begins on D-3 from 0900
to 1645 hours at Theater 1 on 10th Street. - The AVN TAFFO will link up with Augmentee
O/Cs at 1645 to provide directions to Polk Army
Airfield for the aviation training session that
is on D-2, and lasts approximately 4 hours.

10ROTATION PREPARATION
- Vehicle Draw
- -Personnel designated to draw PREPO vehicles
will have - to arrive on D-5. Vehicle draw is
accomplished as part of - the O/C Academy (typically this is for only
101st rotations). - Local Equipment Draw
- - You will receive supplies during aviation
training on D-2 - (Chem lights, green book, chalk, orange and
yellow tape, - camouflage face paint, and a rotational
packet). - Augmentee Call Signs
- - All augmentees will receive a call sign
commensurate with the the team they
are assigned
11HOME STATION REQUIREMENTS
- Augees MUST HAVE a valid OF 346 and DD Form 348
(HMMWV drivers license w/ NVG)
- Augees MUST BRING NVGs, MILES controller gun, and
green key. Flight Augees must bring flight
equipment.
- Meal Card is provided by home station.
- No Issue from CIF here at Fort Polk!
