• OSPI board has shut down and operates in the
  context of the Sakai project
• Chris Coppola was elected to the Sakai Foundation
  board
• As of Sakai 2.1.2 OSP is a drop-in set of Sakai
  tools
• OSP developers are now Sakai
• framework committers
• This has been a 9 month effort
• requiring very close coordination

Summary

• Sakai has made the transition from a project to a
  foundation and community
• Liaison to other activities continues to be a
  core part of the Sakai approach
• At some level, the goal for each of our projects
  needs to be a useful component in some
  higher-level architecture
• To truly turn our work into Lego blocks we need
  extremely powerful standard data exchange
  capabilities - RDF and other efforts are what
  will get us there.
