Cracow, Poland September 19-24, 2006
2Cracow, a historic and spiritual capital of
Poland, is easily accessible by air, train or car
from every major city in Europe.
3The Meeting will be held at the Academy of
Physical Education in Cracow. It is set in a nice
and spacious campus located about 4 km from the
Main Market Square.
4Cracow is one of the most beautiful cities in
Europe. Its historical centre is a UNESCO World
Heritage Site.
5The 13th-century merchants' town has Europe's
largest market square and numerous historical
palaces and churches with their magnificent
interiors.
6Wawel - the Medieval Royal Castle, once home to
the Jagiellonian kings, has survived without
major damage.
7The Gothic Royal Cathedral - the site of the
coronations and burials, overflows with priceless
art treasures.
8Jagiellonian University, established in 1364 is
the oldest university in Poland and second (after
Prague) to be founded in Central Europe.
