The Invention

• The invention Ruth Wakefield invented was the
  Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie. We love
  chocolate chip cookies very much that is why we
  picked this invention. But it did make us really
  hungry while we were doing our research.

About Ruth

• Ruth and her husband Kenneth bought the Toll
  House Inn together. It was a Bed and Breakfast
  Inn. Her favorite cookie was called the Butter
  Drop Do Cookies. She liked to make home cooked
  meals and goodies for the people who stayed at
  her Inn.

How The Idea Came To Her!

• The idea didnt really come to her it was an
  accident. It happened when she ran out of Bakers
  chocolate. She thought if she broke up a Semi
  Sweet chocolate bar and put it in the dough it
  would melt and make a chocolate cookie. (Andrew
  Nestle gave her the chocolate bar) The chocolate
  didnt melt, it stayed together in chips and that
  is how she invented the Toll House Chocolate Chip
  Cookie. Everyone loved them. People still love
  them today!
