Location

• The deserts are mostly north of the equator.
  The Sahara desert is the worlds largest desert.
  It covers 9 million square kilometers. The Sahara
  desert is in the African part of Egypt, Morocco,
  Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, Chad, Niger,
  Mali, and Mauritania.

Animals

• The animals in the desert are insects,
  spiders, reptiles, birds and, mammals. Some other
  animals may visit after rainfall to search for
  some food. Most animals dont eat during the day
  because its to hot so they eat at night time.

Vegetation

• The kind of vegetation the desert has is one
  that can survive with a small amount of water, so
  that they dont grow close together. Some desert
  plants get water from deep underneath the earths
  surface.

Climate

• Deserts are the hottest places in the world
  because they sun obsorb more heat from the sun
  than humid climates do. In summer desert
  temperatures can reach 100 F or higher. At night
  the temperature can drop to 45 F.
