- Four cities in the EU accession countries could
form a first group to obtain WB assistance to
knowledge economy work - Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, is chosen as
allready making good use of KE activities - The city level program can mesh well with what is
underway in the area of KE activities at the
national level - The proposal to place special effort on
assisting Lithuania to develop city based
knowledge economy strategy, integrated to the
regional development programmes of Kaunas and
other major cities
