    the course prior to enrolling

confirmed for a second SPVC until completion of

SPVCs FAQs
  • Program Policies
  • Please prioritize your course preference by
enrolling in 1 course per enrollment period.
  • Access will not be granted to more than 1 course
per month due to high demand.
  • Students registering should have completed all
    previous courses.
  • Students will not be confirmed for the same
course a second time and may not be confirmed for
a new class if they did not complete a previous
    course.
  • Are SPVCs different from free online classes?
  • Yes, these SPVCs are deep dive education sessions
that are similar to classroom sessions. The free
online classes are introductory in nature.
  • Help! I have run into technical issues and cannot
start the program. Whom do I contact?
  • Read your Getting Started instructions and ensure
    all required software is installed
  • Check the Troubleshooting section in this
presentation for common problems and resolutions
  • You have an SPVC Technical Support Team to help
resolve all your technical issues. Send an email
to wespvcsu_at_us.ibm.com with a screen shot of any
errors you get and used browser check results
    using the link below http//eb90.elearn.ihost.com
    /browsercheck/LEAPDetect.html
  • Will there be any cost attached to partners?
  • No, not for validated IBM business partners. We
sponsor enrollments for partners through the
partner education program, as long as partners
enroll through the WW WebSphere Business Partner
    Education website.
  • Is there a maximum number of registrations that
    partners can sign up for?
  • No, but per our program policies, only one course
will be confirmed for an enrollment period.
Partners will be requested to identify their
priority course if they enroll in multiple
    courses.
  • I have project deliverables and cannot complete
the course. Can this be extended for another
    month?
  • Extension of the course expiration date is not
possible due to participants time constraints.
You have 60 days to complete the course. The
materials are available 24 x 7. You can even
download and do it at your own convenience.
  • Exceptions If a participant faces technical /
system issues that have been submitted to
    WebSphere SPVC Support team (wespvcsu_at_us.ibm.com),
but have not been resolved, an extension may be
    considered.

SPVCs FAQs (cont)
  • I received a confirmation email, but have not
    received my Getting Started email.
  • Please verify that the Getting Started email is
not in a SPAM folder. If not, please contact
Debbie Nurkin (dnurkin_at_us.ibm.com) to request a
resend of the Getting Started email.
  • I am from a different location, will I have to
register again or will the same login still work?
  • The same login works from anywhere.
  • I cannot find the password to open the course
    materials, where is this located?
  • When you first access the course, you open to a
    Getting Started module, which provides
    instructions and the password.
  • I registered with one email ID, but use another,
will I be able to access with either one?
  • No. Only one email ID should be provided, as it
    becomes your User ID.
  • My course is supposed to have the Train Certify
promotion for the certification test, but I
    cannot find it.
  • A separate email will be sent to students in
courses eligible for the Train Certify
promotion with the flyer and promotional code.
  • My progress bar is not updating after I complete
the unit or the course, why is this and can it be
    updated?
  • Verify that you are online with the Learner
Portal if your login has timed out, the course
progress will not update, although you still have
access to the course. If you have completed the
course, but your progress report does not reflect
that, please send an email to dnurkin_at_us.ibm.com,
to ensure you are marked as complete. We will
also contact the SPVC Support team to update the
    Learning Portal progress status.

course, how do I get re-enrolled?

SPVCs FAQs (cont)
  • I suspended my eLab time, but the time continues
to decrease. Will I lose my elab time?
  • The suspend function reserves the time for the
student and adds/updates it later on his next log
in , but the counter will continue to decrease.
  • Students should access the eLab at least once
before the expiration of the eLab session to
preserve their time and any exercise files
  • I have moved to a different project and will not
be able to complete this. Please cancel my
    confirmation.
  • Once a seat is confirmed, if it is not utilized,
it will be considered as a seat lost
  • What happens if a partner signs up but does not
    complete the course?
  • Further enrollments to partners will depend on
the performance and commitment to completing the
    courses
  • How do I get a course completion certificate?
  • After completing and submitting the course online
survey available under Course Wrap-up or Sat
Survey tab, A soft copy (PDF) certificate will
be forwarded to the email address you provide.
  • Once the users complete all the units of an SPVC
course, they may access it under completed
