Require Physical Exercise

• Change Kindergarten through 12 current physical
  education requirements
• Require city/county general plans to include
  environment transportation systems that
  emphasize walking or biking, or recreation spaces
  places that encourage activity
• Require workplace wellness programs in all
  schools and state funded programs or provide
  incentives to encourage wellness programs

Improve Access to Healthy Foods in Low Income
Communities

• Provide incentives to entice businesses to locate
  in low income communities
• Provide credits and other incentives to local
  stores to increase availability of healthy foods
• Limit number of fast food outlets in areas

Promote Healthy Eating

• Require school vending machines to only allow
  healthy snacks
• Require restaurants to include nutritional
  information on menu
• Establish higher nutritional standards for
  cafeterias in state owned facilities
• Restrict advertising of junk food to children and
  use of popular cartoon characters to promote junk
  food
• Eliminate high sugar and other unhealthy foods in
  school cafeterias
