Title: Graphing For Genius

1
Graphing For Genius
  • Presented By The Genius
  • Stephanie, Melissa, Kyle, and Kevin
  • Please no doodling!

2
Identifying the x-axis
The x-axis
  • The x-axis is the Independent Variable. The
Independent Variable is a variable that does not
    depend on the other variable.

3
Identifying the Y-axis
The y-axis
  • The y-axis is the opposite of the x-axis. It is a
dependent variable which means it depends on the
    x-axis variable.

4
Equal Intervals
This interval is equal to the one above it.
  • Each Interval needs to be equal in order for you
to plot. That is so because if you do one that is
one inch apart and one that is one centimeter
apart itll look odd. Thats what Graph Paper is
    for.

5
Labeling
of jumping jacks
Time (sec)
  • Each axis needs a label in order for you to know
    what you are graphing.

6
Titling
Title Jumping Jack Experiment
  • Each graph needs a title to know what your graph
    is about.

7
How to plot data
Plotted Point
  • When you start plotting, you first look on the
x-axis and go to a number. Then you look on the
y-axis and go to a number. Then you meet them and
you put a point. You have now plotted. Its
important to always plot on graph paper.
