Why Study?
Biblical worship is often corrupted by boredom,
lack of purpose, and nonparticipational behavior
which leads the congregation to go through the
motions without genuine heart involvement. The
opposite extreme offers little more than secular
entertainment with a religious veneer, a packaged
plastic program so perfect and professional that
even the most sincere worshiper can scarcely
break through its shrink-wrapped design to get

The duty to worship God is based upon the fact
that He is the Creator and that to Him all other
beings owe their existence. And wherever, in the
Bible, His claim to reverence and worship, above
the gods of the heathen, is presented, there is
cited the evidence of His creative power. "All
the gods of the nations are idols but the Lord
made the heavens." Psalm 965 (Great Controversy
436-437).

of the character of Christ, angels will unite
with them in their worship. The praise and
thanksgiving from grateful hearts will ascend to
God as a sweet oblation. "Give thanks unto the
Lord, for He is good For His mercy endureth
forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so,
Whom He hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy"

redemption and freedom, he must also consider
