Title: The Dynamics Of Newton's Laws

1
The Dynamics Of Newtons Laws
  • By Chancelor Fletcher
  • Dynamics- The study of forces that cause motion.

2
Magnetic Force
  • These are produced by moving electric charges.
  • When you throw something the magnetic force moves
from your arm to the object.

3
Electric Force
  • This results from the electron repulsion of two
    objects.
  • Due to the fact that magnetic and electric forces
are closely related you could also throw a ball,
or you can push something off of a table.

4
Gravitational Forces
  • An extremely weak force weaker than the other
    five forces.
  • When a baseball bat and a baseball are about to
come into contact they have a very low
    force/gravitational pull on each other.

5
Weak Interaction And Nuclear Force
  • Nuclear force- Holds the nucleus of an atom
together, and is stronger than of the of the
    other forces.
  • The electric force tries to tear apart the
nucleus but the nuclear force is much stronger
and so it holds it together.
  • Weak Interaction force- causes some atoms to
    break apart.
  • The atoms all around me could be breaking apart
and I wouldnt know it, and neither would other
    people around me.

6
Newtons First Law And An Example
  • The first law states , A body continues in its
state of rest, or of uniform motion in a straight
line, unless it is acted upon by a net external
    force.
  • Say someone is running, they will either continue
to run or they will stop themselves or someone
    will stop them.

7
Newtons Second Law And An Example
  • Newtons second law states , When an unbalanced
force acts on a body, the body will be
    accelerated.
  • Example two people push each other but one goes
further than the other because he is bigger than
    the other person.

8
Newtons Third Law And An Example
  • Newtons third law says, every force is
accompanied by an equal and opposite force.
  • Example a truck hits another truck with an EQUAL
amount of force and so both trucks stop moving.

9
FMxA And An Example
  • This means force Mass x Acceleration
  • A car is going 30 MPH and it has a mass of 2000
Newtons. If you multiply those together it will
give you the amount of force that is behind it if
    it wrecks into somehing.

10
M F/A And An Example
  • This means Mass Force / Acceleration
  • Say the force of an object is 8000 and the
acceleration is 100 (MPH in this case). If you
divide those you will get 80 Newtons of mass.

11
AF/M And An Example
  • This means Acceleration Force / Mass
  • Say an object has a force of 600 and its mass is
50 Newtons. If you take those and divide them the
acceleration will be 12 (MPH in this case).

12
WMxG And An Example
  • This means Weight Mass x Gravitational Field
    Strength.
  • On Earth you weigh more than you would in space
or on the moon. This is because the Earth is
larger than us humans and it has a more powerful
    effect on us.

13
MW/G And An Example
  • This means Mass Weight / Gravitational field
    strength
  • If you take your weight on earth and divide it by
the gravitational field strength that the earth
has on you then you can find out your Mass. It
will be different depending on which planet you
    are on.

14
GW/M And An Example
  • This means gravitational field strength Weight /
    Mass
  • If you divide your weight by your mass then you
will see the effect the gravitational field has
on you. This varies depending on the planet your
    on.
