How to Register for ESRIs GIS Online Course

Visit following link - http//training.esri.com/ga
teway/index.cfm And click My Training button.
Then, click Create New Account link to create
your account.

Please fill out the Create An Account form like
below and then, submit the form. Almost right
away, you will receive an email from the ESRI
see next slide

• Once your Create An Account form was filled out
  and then submitted, you will receive an email
  from the ERSI, which is similar to below. You
  just need to follow the instruction on the email.

After confirmation of your email, you can log in
to the site through the web page like below right
away or you can login later through the ESRI
Training and Education Home page.

After you log in to the site, click the
Training link. Then, you will see My Training
link under the Training link. By click My
Training link, you will be transferred to My
Training web page.

How to Register Before you proceed to register
your course.

Form the below My Training page, click My
Virtual Campus Training link in order to
register for a course using an course access
code.

Get the GIS code from the class website ---- GIS
code link

Type in your GIS code in the box.

Now, you are ready to begin the course.

Summary

• Go to http//training.esri.com and click "My
  Training." Click "My Virtual Campus Training." If
  you already have an Esri Global Account, log in
  using your username and password. If you do not,
  click "Create New Account.
• Type your 14-digit course access code into the
  "Start a New Web Course" box and click "Go.
• Your course will be added to your "Courses in
  Progress" list. Click the course title to begin.

As the arrow points out, questions 8 and 10 are
the kind of questions that you do not need to do
it because it requires downloading and using data
to solve the problem. You will need the GIS
software if youd like to try those questions.
That is, you need to go to the computer lab in
the library if youd like to try them because
only lab has the GIS software.

About GIS software

• If youd like to try those exam questions require
  downloading and using data, please let me know.
• I will get you the GIS software code.
• Using the code, you will be able to download and
  install the SW. This requires may not be
  smoothly.
• Because the size of SW is almost 4 GB and
  requires a couple of additional SW tools (about 2
  GB).
