Electrolytes

• Solutes whose solutions does not conduct
  electricity are nonelectrolytes. These solution
  are composed of molecules or are pure water.
• Ionic salts dissolved in water are strong
  electrolytes.
• Some solutes are poor conductors and are known as
  weak electrolytes.

Electrolytes

• The ability of a solution to conduct electricity
  is regarded as positive evidence that the
  solution contains ions.
• Solutions composed of molecules do not conduct
  electricity because there are no ions present.
