Title: In the Beginning
1In the Beginning
The Creation Story
2In the beginning the world was empty.
Darkness covered everything.
But God had a plan.
3God separated the light from the darkness.
God said," Let there be light! and the light
appeared.
4God called the light day
and the called the darkness night.
This was the end of the very first day.
5He separated the waters in the clouds above from
the waters in the ocean below.
Then God divided the waters.
He called the space between them sky.
This was the end of the second day.
6Next, God rolled back the water to make dry land.
7God made hills and mountains and plants of many
shapes and colours.
And this was the end of the third day.
8God put a shining sun in the sky for the day time
and the moon and stars for the night time.
This was the end the end of the fourth day.
9On the fifth day God made all the different
creatures that live in the oceans and rivers
10and birds to fly across the sky.
11On the sixth day God made animals to creep,
crawl, slither and gallop.
And then God did something really special!
12From the dust left over God made the most
wonderful creature of all.
God made a person and called him Adam.
13The next day was the seventh day.
It was now that God rested.
