Georgia TechResearch Institute (GTRI)
  • David Rosenbaum - FVT
  • David W. Roberts - DSIF

2
FVT
  • The Federation Verification Tool
  • Developed under DMSO sponsorship at the Georgia
    Tech Research Institute
  • Primary FEDEP phase supported Integrate and Test
    Federation
  • Secondary FEDEP phase supported Execute
    Federation and Analyze Results

3
Purpose
  • Primary purpose verify federates update/reflect
    and send/receive responsibilities
  • Secondary purpose verify expectations of which
    federates invoke which RTI services

4
Operation
  • Responsibilities information can be input
directly or imported from Federation Execution
Planners Workbook (FEPW) DIF format files.
  • FVT joins federation, monitors federate activity,
    and updates its displays.
  • Reports summarizing all results or just
    discrepancies can be output.

DSIF
  • Distributed Simulation Interface Framework
  • HLA Middleware
  • Uses object model to auto-generate HLA interface
    from SOM
  • Originated 1996 as Internal Research and
    Development (IRAD) project
  • HLA Compliant April 1999

10
Purpose
  • Tool to support legacy simulation migration to
