with? Using referrals from friends is one great
way to get started, but you should take some time
to read business reviews, also. Why is it so
important to read these reviews? Many times our
friends and family members are not really that
well informed about a business and the
requirements of providing high-quality service.
Their referral is almost always based upon having
a good experience or getting a good price. What
they may not realize is that person who just gave
them the friendliest service they have ever
received really may not be the best choice.

company to do business with. Professional

covering a business. This usually includes their

low-cost provider or a premium-service company?
It will give you insights into how long they
have been in business and if it has always been
with the same owners. Think about that last
item a moment. There are many times someone
recommends a great place to have a service
performed and then you get horrible service.

hands or you are not working with the exact same
individual within the business. A business

will give you more knowledge you can use in

standing, also. You do not want to place your
trust in a company to do a renovation on your
home which is on the verge of liquidation. You
could end up with a project half-finished and
fully paid for and the company goes out of
business. Your well-meaning friends would have
never known this was coming, since they do not
watch business closely or do deep research.

their one experience with a company. By reading

company you have a better understanding of what
to expect. If you have a referral and have read

see a couple bad reviews and hear a horror story
from a co-worker, you know it is time to stay

gives you the ability to choose companies and
service providers who are the best. You can find
reviews by searching online, checking magazines,
and or through local review sites. Take those
few extra minutes and get the facts instead of
making an expensive mistake.
