  • Interagency Working Group (IaWG) met with

  • Much insight was gained on the current European
    view of offsets in the context of
  • Future of Article 296 exemptions to the EU Treaty
  • EUs new Defense Procurement Directive
  • EDAs new Code of Conduct on Offsets
  • Details will be released in IaWG annual report to
    Congress for 2009

International Acquisition Career Path (IACP)
Update
  • The IACP Working/Advisory Group met on May 13,
    2009 at DAU. Key points
  • DAU is adding two fulltime international faculty
    members and expanding its international resident
    course throughput by 50.
  • DAU and DISAM will develop a joint plan on
    integration of Security Assistance training into
    the IACP.
  • The Position Category Description (PCD) for IACP
    has been modified to include international
    program criteria.
  • Army and Navy seem on track for coding billets
    and certifying IACP position. Air Force DACM was
    not represented.
  • The Functional Limited Integrated Process Team
    will meet with President, DAU and DACMs on July
    13, 2009.
  • Review and approve revised PCD
  • Midterm assessment of identifying and coding of
    positions
  • Full implementation of IACP October 1, 2009
