2Subject of a sentence
The subject is the word or group of words that
answers the Question Who? Or What? before the
verb.
- The truck was hit by the snowball.
- The deer is climbing the hill.
- The sky was beautiful at sunset.
3Subject
- ________ went fishing with his buddies.
- ________ hit the truck with the snowball.
- ________ argued that his team was the best in the
league.
4Verbs
The verb tells what the subject does, what is
done to the subject, or what the condition of
the subject is.
- The sailors boarded the ship.
- The truck was hit by the snowball.
- Sam looks bored.

- Angel ________ the aid of the truck after it was

6Adjectives
Adjectives describe a noun or a pronoun.,
- The vast, flat desert stretched before him.

An adverb modifies a verb, an adjective, or
another adverb. An adverb that modifies a verb
will answer one of these four questions
Where? When? In what manner? To what extent?

- The truck was hit forcefully by the snowball.

A conjunction connects words or groups of words.
