Implementation

• Version 7.2 of Banner will be implemented over
  the weekend of March 4th.
• Banner will unavailable on Monday March 6th.
• An updated version of Jinitiator (v1.3.1.22) is
  needed prior to the upgrade. The person who
  installs this version to a PC must have local
  administrator rights. For more information,
  seehttps//apps.uillinois.edu/support/jinitiator

Implementation

• Adjust your screen resolution (if needed) The
  new version of Banner utilizes more of the screen
  than the current version. Therefore the
  recommended resolution for viewing Banner is 1024
  X 768. If you need to adjust your screen
  resolution, be aware that the resolution affects
  all viewing on your machine. Also, some older
  monitors may not be able to support this
  resolution and may require scrolling through the
  Banner forms. Note that this change does not
  impact self-service use of Banner.

Navigation Changes

• Go field is now the Go To field.
• The Search icons are replaced by drop-down-list
  arrows
• When the cursor is in the Go To field on the
  main menu, the Up and Down arrow keys enable the
  user to navigate to recently-accessed forms.

Tabbed View on Some Forms

• To navigate within a tabbed form
• Click the desired tab
• Click the Next or Previous Block icon
• CTRLTAB or CTRLPAGE DOWN to move forward.
• CTRLSHIFTTAB or CTRL PAGE UP to move backward.
• Press F2 (List Tab Pages) to display a list of
  tabbed windows for selection.

• Search icon Magnifying glass is now a down
  arrow.

The F5 function key automatically brings up the
Go To or Direct Access field in any form.
The new form will open on top of the previously
active form. Having too many forms open can
result in Oracle errors. Select F5 to close the
Go To field.

• A list of forms that you have previously opened,
  and are still open, are displayed in the web page
  title.
• Remember to close forms that you are not using to
  prevent errors.

• In a form, if you right-click anywhere other
  than a field, the Options menu pops up.
