ZONE ORGANIZATION

Zone Captain

• Designate Building Coordinators
• Oversee designation of Floor Wardens
• Coordinate evacuation or shelter in place
  response in zone
• Coordinate activities with On-Scene Incident
  Commander
• Compile Emergency Status Report
• Communicate status with EOC Zone Coordinator
• Manage information to/from BC/FW

Building Coordinator

• Designate Floor Wardens
• Coordinate evacuation and assembly or shelter in
  place of building occupants
• Report building status and emergencies to the
  Zone Captains
• Disseminate information to Floor Wardens

Floor Warden

• Clear each room on floor, hang Evacuated signs
• Direct evacuation of the floor or gathering for
  shelter in place
• Report status to Building Coordinator
• Assist Building Coordinator at evacuation
  assembly area
• Information Point of Contact

• Primary and alternate assembly areas
• Shelter in place locations

Persons with Disabilities

• Disability Services Center working to improve
  safety for all faculty, staff or students. See
  http//www.disability.uci.edu/
• Orientation will be modified to include awareness
  and personal accountability
• BCs and FWs are encouraged to identify IN
  ADVANCE those who may need assistance to evacuate
• If evacuation not feasible, get to place of safe
  refuge and notify emergency responders
