Pressure patching Set-up

• Clean around area where Patch will be place
• mid- forehead
• above imaginary line from corner of mouth to
  lower ear.

Pressure Patching Procedure

• Pad(s) should be oriented to fit snuggly within
  orbit
• Place 1st tape diagonally across patch
• TAB it
• Stay above lower mandible

• Apply two more strips in 'X' pattern across first
  strip, using similar pressure
• Next strip forms an arc from brow to upper
  cheek along the line near the bridge of the nose.

Pressure Patching Procedure

• Next strip of tape applied in the similar ARC
  manner as before on temporal side
• Final strip may be applied diagonally
• Removal of pressure patch is facilitated by using
  the pre-formed TAB

Final NOTE

• Judge thickness of gauze
• Can pt still wear their glasses?
• Assures complete coverage of orbit.
