5Why didnt these programs solve our problems?
- Short term solution students often have same
problems the next year - Didnt address those students below 50

- According to test results, many of these students
arent reading or performing at grade level. - Why not? Is this an ability issue or an interest
issue? - Both areas were addressed.

- We work specifically on using context clues to
determine the meaning of unknown words. - Learn Latin and Greek roots, prefixes, and
suffixes to assist in decoding unknown words.
Although we already teach, we worked
differently.
