10Workouts Make-Ups
- Must have teachers permission and schedule in
advance - Make-ups for a particular 9 weeks must be
completed by the last day of that grading period - Written work or reports are NOT accepted as
participation make-ups
11 Nurse Visits Make-up
If you go to the Nurses office you must
make-up the class before you get a grade or pass
for the 9 weeks.

13GRADUATION
- You must PASS two 9 weeks of Physical Education
per year to graduate - You must also pass one 9 weeks of swimming class
14 P.E. Rules
15Excuses
- One day, One time Parent excuse from one day of
regular P.E. You will still have to dress and you
will participate in modified P.E. This type of
excuse can be used only once in a 9 weeks. - Doctors Excuse Accepted for a maximum of 2
weeks if so noted and the student will still
dress and do modified P.E. If unable to modify,
classes must be made up before the end of the
marking period - Doctors Excuse for more than 2 weeks Drop the
class and either take Adapted P.E. or re-take the
entire course at a later date. - Serious Medical Conditions Adapted P.E. class
or in special cases, contract P.E.
16Cramps
- No P.E. excuses are given for cramps.we have
emergency pads and tampons in the P.E. office. - Exercise and movement is recommended by doctors
for menstrual cramps - Give us a heads up if you are not feeling well
and well be understanding
17Missing Class
- If you are to miss class for any reason, please
see us first to get permission or it will be
considered a cut class - You must ask for permission to go to the Nurse or
it is considered a cut class - No guidance visits during P.E. class
- You are assigned here and must be here unless you
are given permission by a P.E. Teacher it will be
considered a cut class
18BE ON TIME FOR CLASS
- You have 8 minutes from the time you leave your
prior class to get dressed, use the restroom, and
be in roll call line - If you are not in your assigned spot when roll is
taken, you are considered late to class - A sign will be by the door on the way into the
locker room letting you know where to report for
roll call - 3 lates detention and a reduction in your final
grade
19Dismissal from Class
- Do not leave the locker room until the bell
sounds to end the period - If you leave prior to the bell, you will receive
a disciplinary referral. - You may not line up pass the mirror
- You must enter and exit the locker room by using
the door by the Aux. Gym. Do not cut through the
Main Gym
20Fire Drills
- Exit to the student parking lot or across main
gym to the rear parking lot
21Tornado Drills
- Exit to the hallway by the Aux. Gym
22Jewelry
- All jewelry is to be removed for class
- Failure to do so may result in serious injury
- Glasses are worn at your own risk
- Glass guards and shin guards are available upon
your request
23LOCKER ROOM
- The P.E. Department is NOT responsible for lost
or stolen items!
24- Lock up all valuables and purses before leaving
the locker room - Lock your locker before leaving the locker room
- Do not change lockers
- Do not ask for someone elses combination
- Do not write your combination on your locker
- Do not give your locker combination to anyone
- If you have a problem with your locker, come see
us about it - Locker is to be clean of all writing, stickers,
ribbons, etc. when you move out - Locker searches are possible
- Lockers are not garbage cans use proper waste
container in locker room
25Locker Room Rules
- Dont ask to use the restroom or to get a drink
during class take care of it before class
begins - No Smoking or locker rooms will have to be
closed to everyone during class - No glass containers if you break glass please
let us know so that it can be cleaned up - No aerosol cans of hairspray or perfume
remember a little goes a long way
26Showers
- Showers are available for your use
- Have soap and a towel in case you decide to take
a shower (you never know when you may fall in a
mud puddle!) - Please dont forget your deodorant
27Gum
- Heavily discouraged and will not be tolerated in
certain units (tumbling, contact sports, etc.)
28Special Medical Conditions
- Please tell us if you have any medical problems
that might affect your participation in class - Asthma inhaler may be brought to class on your
way here pick it up from the Nurse. You are
responsible for it
29 Weather
- We know when it is raining and do not need to be
told that it is raining (we have skin sensors)---
we go out in the rain and the cold so please be
prepared for all kinds of weather conditions - We stay outside the entire 1st and 4th 9 weeks
30Clothing
- Teachers have the final discretion on what
clothing is acceptable and what is not - You will need 2 sets of clothing
- Indoor and Outdoor
31Indoor Clothing
- T-shirt -solid colors, little writing is
preferred, no crops, no belly shirts, no
sleeveless - Gym Shorts no holes, no boxers, no spandex, no
nylons under shorts, and make sure you are
covered when you bend over to touch your toes - Sneakers rubber sole, athletic shoes, no
platform, no sport sandals, shoes must have a
back. They need to be CLEAN! - Sport socks
- Bras with straps no strapless!
- No sweatshirts or pants are allowed when we are
indoors!
32Outdoor Clothing
- T-shirt
- Gym Shorts
- Sweatshirts hoodies are permitted and
encouraged - Sweatpants or windpants
- Sneakers you should have an old pair to wear
outdoors that can get muddy - Sport socks
- Bras with straps
- Gloves and hats are permitted when it is cold
outside
33When indoors you need to make sure you have clean
shoes. Try to have two pairs (indoor outdoor
or you will have to clean your dirty shoes before
entering the gym!
All clothes for P.E. classes must be a complete
change of clothes from school attire. This
applies to everyone regular P.E. students and
adapted students. Dress infractions will really
damage your gradeso beware!!!
We do not loan out clothes. If you forgot, ask a
friend. We dont have spare clothing. If you
are unable to get a set of clothes for class
please see us. Your change of clothes is your
responsibility and your grade depends on it.
