• Offers separate areas for quiet and active play.

Physical Space

• Should have an appealing entrance.
• A directors office where children's records can
  be stored.
• An Isolation area should contain a cot and a few
  toys.
• A kitchen should have a presentable space to
  work.
• A staff room should contain a locked storage
  space for personal belongings.
• Classroom and playroom should be on a ground
  floor and close to an exit.

Indoor Environment

• Walls should be painted with led free , washable
  paint.
• Doors should be light weight.
• Temperature is important in planning a
  comfortable environment for young children.
• Humidity like temperature influences the comfort
  of the environment.
• Electrical outlets keep out of reach of children.
