In our prediction we thought that the balloon
with the water and air in it would pop when it
was put over the flame. We thought that the air
and water particles would get more energy and so
move further apart. This would make the pressure
inside the balloon high and so it would burst and
we would get wet. We were wrong it doesnt do
this. (But energy and particles are the right
theories to use) Heat from the candle does pass
through the balloon to the water particles but
these water particles start moving faster and so
are good at quickly conducting the heat away.
They can absorb the heat energy and stop the
latex of the balloon melting.
We think our explanation is a L6 now because
