Rules and Guidelines

• PSEO is available only for a full year
• 10th graders need 36 credits at end of year
• 11th graders need 50 credits at end of year
• Follow NHS policies
• College grade NHS grade
• Return PSEO books to college

• Attend college classes if NHS not in session
• Get all forms filled out in timely fashion
• Work with college counselor to choose classes
• Credit minimums and maximums
• Withdrawal from a college class F at NHS

Credits

• Conversion
• 1 PSEO credit 0.5 NHS credit
• In other words, NHS will award you half the
  amount of credits you earn through PSEO.
• Limits
• Minimum 12 credits (combined)
• Maximum 18 credits (combined)

Last words

• Check individual colleges for application
  deadlines.
• Plan your course selection very carefully (it is
  not unusual for students with high grades to do
  poorly in PSEO courses that they do not enjoy).
  Note the Northwestern/online caution.
• Be sure to discuss your PSEO schedule with your
  counselor, especially if you plan to fulfill NHS
  requirements at college.
• Contracts are due with registration materials (by
  February 4th)!
• Consider CIS
