Classroom Policies and Procedures
  • Each student is responsible for their behavior.
    Students are expected to make good choices and to
    take responsibility for their actions. There are
    consequences, both good and bad, for their
    behavior.
  • Responsibility Training
  • Reports and Rewards
  • Each student begins the week with 100 points.
  • Five points (5) are deducted for a violation
    (multiple points can be deducted).
  • Parents receive a written report each week.
  • Parents then sign the report and return it to
    school the next school day.
  • Weekly reports are averaged to determine the
    report card grade for conduct. A serious
    infraction of a school rule independent of the
    Responsibility Record Sheet will receive
    immediate intervention and consequence. An
    additional 65 will be averaged into their
    overall conduct grade.
  • Students are responsible for knowing and
    communicating reasons for point deductions.

Homework/Participation
  • Homework will be given daily, Monday-Thursday.
    It is the students responsibility to complete
    and submit homework on time. On time work is work
    that is collected or checked off at the beginning
    of class. Anytime after that, it is considered
    LATE.
  • Assignment turned in on time and complete Full
    Credit
  • Assignment turned in late No Credit
  • Except for Excused Absences
  • Agendas will be provided for each student.
  • Absences
  • If a student is absent, it is the students
    responsibility to obtain any missed
    work/homework. Students have equal to the amount
    of days they are absent to make up the missed
    work.
  • Participation will be a combination of class work
    and student involvement in the lessons.

  • Grading will be based on a point system. Ea
  • To calculate the final grade at the end of the
    assessment period, the following school-wide
    grading scale will be used
  • 100-93 A 79-77 C 62-60 D-
  • 92-90 A- 76-73 C
    59 or Below F
  • 89-87 B 72-70 C-
  • 86-83 B 69-67 D
  • 82-80 B- 66-63 D

Gradelink
  • Gradelink is an online grading system used
    throughout the school designed for teachers to
    communicate student progress.
  • It will be updated on a weekly basis. Parents
    and students will be able to access detailed
    information regarding academic development from
    their personal computer.

Other Information
  • Please do not drop off your childs lunch in the
    classroom. Leave it in the health room for pick
    up at lunch time
  • Any test that does not have a name on it will
    automatically be deducted 5 points.
  • Home work requests for a sick child will need one
    full school day notice. I
  • We will be doing centers every Wednesday at
    145pm. Please join us if you can.
  • A requirement of 5 AR tests are to be done during
    each quarter.
