Born in 1875 at Maffersdorf, in Austro-Hungary.
He was responsible for the birth of the most
successful car un automotive history the
Volkswagen Beetle. In 1934 Project No32 was
launched, a total of three were built one
survives in the AutoMuseum at Wolfsburg. This is
the oldest surviving vehicle which can be
considered a true Volkswagen prototype.
