What is a Time Bank?

• Way for people to come together to help others
  and help themselves at the same time.
• Participants 'deposit' their time in the bank by
  giving practical help to others and 'withdraw'
  their time when they need something done
  themselves.
• Everyone's time is valued equally One hour 1

TB Outcomes for 2009 - 12

  110 exchanges, 390 volunteer hours, 7 hours per
  volunteer
• community services include gardening, cleaning,
  DIY, decorating, shopping, transport,
  companionship
• skills training accessed opportunities to
  include computer skills, literacy, office skills,
  book keeping, cookery
• intergenerational exchanges 2 active schools, 1
  youth project, 2 elderly groups
• community involvement 5 community groups

• healthier lifestyles 100 food co-op orders per

• annual co-ordination of Healthy Living Week
