3What is SubFinder?
- SubFinder is an Automated Voice Response System.
- Employees Administrators report absences via
touch-tone phones. - SubFinder will use both position matching (Skill
List) and employee / administrator input. to fill
absences / jobs.
4How Does it Benefit You?
- There is a potential for more jobs.
- You can tell SubFinder when you want to work.
- (The days of the week you can work, as a general
rule). - You can be proactive and job shop. There is the
potential for more jobs, particularly for new
substitutes, since SubFinder is completely
unbiased in its selection process. -
5Setting Your Schedule...
- You can tell SubFinder the days or date ranges
that you are unavailable. - You may also set days or date ranges when you do
not wish to receive any calls using the Do Not
Disturb feature. - You also have the ability to review the jobs that
youve accepted, 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. - Please have a calendar readily accessible when
utilizing the SubFinder system. This will ensure
you have an accurate record of your schedule.
6Substitute Registration
- You will access SubFinder using your PIN number.
(Typically your SSN) You will also be assigned a
system generated number which is referred to as
your ID Number. - When you register you will Record your name,
review your personal information. Verify your
phone number and days you are available.
7The First Time You Call...
- Using a touch-tone phone, call SubFinder at
SubFinder main number goes here. - SubFinder will identify itself and ask you to
enter your PIN (Personal Identification Number)
followed by the key. Typically, your PIN will
be your Social Security Number. Enter your PIN
using the touch pad of your telephone.
8Recording Your Name...

- Once you have entered your PIN and pressed the
key, SubFinder will acknowledge that this is the
first time you have called and ask you to voice
your name. Please say your name clearly, as you
want it to be heard by other people using the
system. When you are done speaking, press the
key.
9Reviewing Your Recording...

- After pressing the key, SubFinder will play
your recorded name back to you for verification.
If it is correct, press 1. If you want to
re-record your name, press 2 and repeat this step
again.
10Reviewing Personal Information and Availability...
-
- Once you have recorded your name and accepted it,
SubFinder will play your Main Menu. Please
choose the option To Review Personal Information.
Pay particular attention to options - 1 To Review Your Phone Number and
- 3 To Review the Days of the Week You are
Available to Work.
11Changing Your Personal Information...
- If any of your personal information is incorrect,
you may change it by following SubFinders
instructions. For further information, please
refer to your Substitute Reference Card.
12Its That Quick and Easy...
- Congratulations, you are now registered.
13Job Numbers
- Each absence successfully reported is assigned a
job number. - You will receive the same job number when you
successfully accept the job. - Absence reports use job numbers for reference.
- Jobs must be accessed by job number for review
and cancellation. - MAKE SURE YOU TAKE NOTE OF YOUR JOB NUMBER.
14When SubFinder Calls You To Offer a Job...
- You may listen to the job more than one time.
- You could receive more than one call during a
specific calling period. - SubFinder will also call to Cancel a Job.
15Listening to the Job Offer...
- SubFinder will call and ask for your PIN followed
by the pound sign (), or press star () if you
do not wish to receive any more calls during this
calling period. - If you chose to enter your PIN, followed by the
pound sign SubFinder will describe an available
job. - To hear special instructions Press 1
- To hear the itinerant schedule Press 2
- To continue Press 5
16Accept or Reject the Job Offer...
- Once you press 5

- To accept the job Press 1
- To hear the job again Press 2
- To reject the job Press 9

17After You Accept the Job Offer...
- If you press 1 to accept the job, SubFinder will
play the job information again and give you a JOB
NUMBER. You will be given some of these options
as well - To hear special instructions Press 1
- To hear the itinerant schedule Press 2
- To hear directions to the site Press 3

18Listening to Additional Information Pertaining to
the Job...
- If you press 2 or 3, the appropriate information
will be provided. If you press 5, you will be
given two options. - To hear the job again Press 2
- To end this call Press 9
19When SubFinder Calls You To Cancel a Job...
- When a job has been canceled, SubFinder will call
you with notification. You will hear This is
notification of a job cancellation. Enter your
PIN followed by the pound sign (). - SubFinder will play the information for the job
that has been canceled, including the job number. - To acknowledge the cancellation Press 1
- To hear the cancellation again Press 2
20When You Call SubFinder You Can...
- Review current assignments, including the details
of each job. - Review available jobs, use this option to be
proactive in your job search. - Cancel a job. You should cancel as soon as
possible.

- From the Main Menu Press 1
- SubFinder will play your next scheduled
assignment followed by some, if not all, of the
following options. - To hear special instructions Press 1
- To hear the itinerant schedule Press 2
- To hear directions to the site Press 3
- To continue Press 5
22Options During Review...
- If you press 5, you will be given these options.
- To hear the job details again Press 2
- To hear the next job Press 3
- To cancel this job Press 4
- To return to the Main Menu Press 9
23Canceling a Previously Accepted Job...
- If you press 4, SubFinder may ask for a reason
for the cancellation. After listening to the
reasons provided, select the appropriate reason
followed by the pound sign (). SubFinder will
repeat the reason. - If correct Press 1
- If incorrect Press 2
- SubFinder will ask for confirmation of the
cancellation. - To confirm the cancel Press 1
- Otherwise Press 2

- From the Main Menu Press 2

- If you press 1 SubFinder will repeat the job
information, followed by the JOB NUMBER. - If you press 3 SubFinder will describe the
next available job.
27To Cancel A Job
- From the Main Menu Press 3
- Enter the JOB NUMBER followed by the pound sign
(). SubFinder will play the job information. - To cancel this job Press 1
- To return to the Main Menu Press 9
28Cancellation Reasons...
- If you press 1 SubFinder may ask for a reason for
the cancellation. After listening to the reasons
provided, select the appropriate reason followed
by the pound sign (). SubFinder will repeat the
reason. - If correct Press 1
- If incorrect Press 2
29Confirm the Cancellation...
- SubFinder will ask for confirmation of the
cancellation. - To confirm the cancel Press 1
- Otherwise Press 2
30Points to Remember
- SubFinder must be accessed using a touch-tone
phone. - Take your time and follow the narration.
- When accepting a job, ALWAYS wait for the job
number before leaving the system.
31Points to Remember
- If you must cancel, do so as early as possible.
(Parameters are set within the system) If you
try to cancel after the deadline you will be
instructed to call your administrator. - Register as soon as possible!!! SubFinder can
not offer you any jobs until you register.
