Who can Participate?

• In the Fern Bluff Science Fair
• Any student K-5
• In the Austin Regional Science Fair
• Any student 1-5
• Kindergarten students may participate in the Fern
  Bluff Fair but are not eligible to advance.

4-6 Project Research Form

• Elementary students grades 46 will now be
  required to fill out an Elementary Project
  Research Form and submit it with their student
  registration packet. The new form is included on
  the web site. This will introduce students to the
  concept of scientific documentation which will be
  required in middle school.

• 1. Registration Deadline
• January 15, 2010
• 2. Science Fair Check In
• Thursday Jan. 21_at_ 6-8pm
• In the Cafeteria
• Parent Viewing
• January 22, 2010 1-4pm
• Project Pick Up
• By 400pm January 22, 2010

Top 5 Ways to Have Fun with the Science Fair

• Have child chose a topic that really interests
  them.
• Make sure that the project is age appropriate.
• Allow your child to work with a partner in their
  grade level if they want to.
• Work with your child to set up a timeline and
  schedule.
• And the Number 1 way to have FUN with the Science
  Fair.
