• Proposed by the Governor and enacted into law in
  2005 and 2006
• Intended to supplement benefits provided to
  service personnel and their dependents by the
  federal government
• Kansas provides important benefits to service
  personnel serving and residing in the following
  areas
• In-state tuition is available and can be
  maintained by dependents if the sponsor is
  transferred
• Favorable unemployment compensation treatment for
  spouses forced to relocate and sever employment
• Favorable car registration sales
• Annual hunting licenses, permits and stamps
  available at in-state resident rates
