  • Replicate the ASSET Virtual Enterprise
    Development (VED) Model

Project Status
  • 61 JOBS (Part Solicitations) previously loaded
    into Oz-VME System were archived (newly developed
    feature) based on OSU direction
  • Associated Pictures, Drawings and Textual
    Technical/History Data for all Parts also
    archived
  • User Accounts and Supporting FSC Correlations for
    114 Oklahoma, 73 Georgia and 22 Ohio
    Manufacturers Identified by OSU, MERC and KBE
    entered into the Oz-VME Database
  • Updated the Manufacturer Capabilities page to
    allow multiple FSC codes to be associated with a
    manufacture all at once thus considerably
    reducing the time it takes to add new
    manufacturers to the database
  • Updated Oz-VME on-line Help file to Reflect All
    Changes to the Software
  • Administered Operational Web Server Running in
    KBE Facility in Centerville, OH
  • Provided Telephone and Live Training/Demonstration
    s to MERC and Ohio Manufacturing Company
    Representatives

Ohio VEDC Status
  • August 2006 - Conducted a mentoring/training
    session with representatives from Trident
    Precision a small manufacturing company in
    Dayton, OH. Provided a comprehensive overview of
    the ASSET program, the procedures to register
    with government websites and obtain solicitations
    and technical data, and provided training on the
    Oz-VME software.
  • September 2006 - Conducted a mentoring/training
    session with representatives from Projects
    Unlimited, Inc., an Ohio based aerospace and
    electronics company that is ISO 90012000 and
    AS9100 certified. Projects Unlimited, Inc., is
    willing to bid on the development of Technical
    Data Packages for DLA.
  • October 2006 Attended the Dayton Tooling and
    Manufacturing Association (DTMA) manufacturers
    conference held at the Dayton Airport Convention
    Center in Dayton, OH. The purpose for attending
    the conference was to identify additional
    candidates for participation in the ASSET
    program.
  • October 2006 - Conducted a mentoring/training
    session with representatives from Advanced
    Manufacturing Technologies PLL. Advanced
    Manufacturing Technologies PLL inquired about
    developing Tech Data Packages for several parts
    currently contained in the Oz-VME database. KBE
    forwarded these requests for information to Mr.
    Bob Goodloe.
  • KBE currently working with TechSolve and Sinclair
    Community College to help promote ASSET in Ohio

Ohio VEDC Issues
  • Our mentoring efforts have identified Ohio
    manufacturers interested in participating in the
    ASSET Program, however, the lack of parts
    available for them to bid on has left the
    manufacturers frustrated and has caused them to
    ask -
