• 17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that
  they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain
  riches, but in the living God, who giveth us
  richly all things to enjoy
• 18 That they do good, that they be rich in good
  works, ready to distribute, willing to
  communicate
• 19 Laying up in store for themselves a good
  foundation against the time to come, that they
  may lay hold on eternal life.

What is Stewardship?

• A Manager or Overseer of someone elses estate
• Joseph
• Pastors
• The care for and use of all entrusted to us
• We are Managers of Gods Estate Psalms 241
• Must be Faithful 1 Cor 41-2
• Must be Accountable Rom 1411-12

Why hear a Message on Stewardship?

• Lack of teaching
• Few financial experts are believers
• Our nature selfish and impulsive
• Families are destroyed from mismanagement

How should you function as a Steward?

• What does money do to your Attitude?
• 1 Timothy 617
• Charge them that are rich in this world,
• that they be not highminded (proud),
• nor trust in uncertain riches,
• but in the living God,
• who giveth us richly all things to enjoy

• The right Activity with your wealth

• That they do good, (work good deeds)

• ready to distribute, (liberal to those in need)
• willing to communicate (meaning to share,
  partner or fellowship)

Why is Stewardship so Important?

• On a Personal Level
• It affects everyone in the church

• On a Corporate Level

• Missions, the needy
• Educational materials and venues (Camp, VBS,
  etc.)

Minister truth to those with wealth

• Do not become arrogant
• Do not make money their god
• Maintain trust in the Lord
• Perform good deeds
• Become skilled givers who partner in ministry
• The goal is to build a heavenly treasure chest
  and to keep an eternal perspective on resources
  and responsibilities in this life to the praise
  of the glory of God.

Stewardship is not an Option

• Will you hear Christ say,
• Well done, thou good and faithful servant thou
  hast been faithful over a few things, I will make
  thee ruler over many things enter thou into the
  joy of thy lord.
• What will you choose today?
• Obedience to Gods Will and Word or
• Selfishness and pleasure?
• Life is choices, choices have consequences, make
  the right choice.
