Traditional To Modern (Graham, 254)

• New Psychology . The idea that a better life on
  earth could be achieved through knowledge and
  action.
• Applied Knowledge.    That the application of new
  information and technology could result in
  specific material benefits more food, longer
  life, less infant death, less sickness, etc.
•  Socio-Political Change. New forms of human
  interaction firms, large cities, complex
  governments.
