All Reptiles
  • All reptiles are vertebrates, animals with back
    bones. Their bodies are covered with dry, horny
    scales or plates (called scutes).
  • Cold blooded.
  • Most hatch from eggs.

  • Today there are 6,800 reptile species on earth
    the major groups are alligators and crocodiles,
    turtles, lizards, and snakes.
