All Reptiles

• All reptiles are vertebrates, animals with back
  bones. Their bodies are covered with dry, horny
  scales or plates (called scutes).
• Cold blooded.
• Most hatch from eggs.

  the major groups are alligators and crocodiles,
  turtles, lizards, and snakes.

Amphibians

• Amphibians live part of their life in water and
  part on land. Even those species that lay eggs on
  land start life in a fluid-filled egg, breathing
  through gills.

Lungless Salamanders

• The largest family, are varied but have the
  typical salamander shapelong, narrow body and
  short legsa groove from the nostril to the upper
  lip, and noticeable costal grooves along the
  sides. They do not have lungs, but instead
  breathe through their skin.
