• In this clip, the sound and light are terrible,
  the camera is shaky, and the subjects head is
  cut off by the top of the shot. The purpose of
  this video clip is to show what can happen when
  audio, light, stability, and composition are
  neglected in shooting video.

• Light- Get the right light!
• Stability- Get clear, steady footage!
• Composition- Think about composition!

Audio- Get Great Sound!

• Keep the subject close.
• Eliminate background noise.
• Use a microphone.

• This video clip has the same problems as the
  first, only the sound has been corrected. To
  improve the sound quality, an external microphone
  has been used and the camera has moved closer to
  the subject.

Light- Get the Right Light!

• Determine origin of light.
• Get camera mode.
• Avoid bright sunlight.
• Turn on lights.
• Avoid backlight.

• This video clip has the same problems as the
  first, only the sound and lighting have been
  corrected. To improve the lighting, all of the
  lights in the room were turned on. Also, the
  subject was moved away from the window that
  caused the bright sunlight to fall onto her face.

Stability- Get Steady Footage.

• Use a tripod.
• Make a tripod.
• Plan camera moves.
• Let your subject move, not the camera.
• Avoid zooming too much.

• This video clip has the same problems as the
  first, only the sound, lighting, and stability
  have been corrected. To improve the stability, a
  tripod was used. The shot also avoided zooming in
  or out.

• Make sure the parts fit.
• Avoid unnecessary space.
• Press record early.
• Answer questions.
• Keep the background simple.
• Change locations and perspectives.

• This video clip has no problems. In this clip,
  audio, lighting, stability, and composition have
  been corrected. The background is simple, yet
  fits the subject and had great lighting. This
  shot is also in a different location than the
  other four to vary the perspective of the video.

• Check out the location the day before if
  possible.
