• Be sure to read all directions prior to
  completing the application
• Answer ALL questions (No Blanks)
• Ask for Letters of Recommendation (if required)
• Submit to your counselor the completed
  application with a legal envelope and 2 stamps
• Keep a copy of your application for your records

• Ask employers
• Human Resource Office
• Ask at your church
• Check with the college
• Specific department scholarships
• Honors scholarships

Letters of Recommendation

• Request the Letter of Recommendation in writing 3
  weeks prior to deadline
• Describe the scholarship criteria
• List the deadline date
• Provide an envelope (with a stamp if it is to be
  mailed directly to the college)

Letters of Recommendation

• Relay any specific directions (sign seal)
• Attach resume (or form in packet)
• Be sure to thank the person writing the letter
