IST4Balt summary

• IST4Balt is a multi-partner action that intends
  to promote the IST innovation activities in
  Baltic States entering the EU
• IST4Balt is Coordination Action (2.3.6), focused
  at FP6 IST activities
• 2.3.2.6 Applications and services for the
  mobile user and worker
• 2.3.2.3 Open development platforms for software
  and services
• 2.3.2.7 Cross-media content for leisure and
  entertainment
• 2.3.2.9 Improving Risk management
• 2.3.2.10 e-Inclusion
• IST4Balt promotes the FP7 and the ICT in Latvia,
  Lithuania and Estonia by dissemination and
  awareness actions
• - IDCs, Web-sites, News Journals
• - Conferences and workshops
• - Training
• - Market and technology studies and
  demonstrations
• The project will unite the leading Baltic
  telematic organizations and will result in
  creation of Trans-Baltic IST association

• Select and demonstrate in the Baltic countries
  IST developed services and tools
• Develop the system of four goal oriented
  Information Dissemination Centers (IDCs)
• Develop the IST4Balt on the Web system
• Publish IST4Balt News Journal
• Provide coordination, support and co-organize
  Baltic ICT events
• - Baltic ITT-IST4Balt conference and workshop,
  Riga, April 2007
• - INFOBALT-IST4Balt conference and workshop,
  Vilnius, October 2007
• Provide training measures to promote FP7 and ICT
• Create Trans-Baltic IST Association uniting the
  leading Baltic ICT organizations

• Expected IST4Balt impact
