• Every IVC room has a Smartboard which enables the
  instructor to display hand written text to the
  Near and Far sites.

Module 10 SmartboardAMX Rooms

• To display the Smartboard in an AMX Touch Panel
  Room, select the Desktop Computer icon from the
  Local Source Panel.

• Open the Smart Tools Notebook software from the
  computer desktop (there is a shortcut to the
  Smart Tools Notebook software on the desktop)
• Note If you do not open the Smartboard software
  first, text written on the Smartboard will NOT
  display on the monitors

• After the software has been opened, text and
  graphics which are handwritten on the Smartboard
  will be displayed at the Local and Remote sites.

• Hand written text can be converted to typed text
  and stored using the Smartboard software.
• Highlight the text by dragging the pointer
  (arrow) over the text. Right click on the text
  and the letter A appears in the upper right
  corner of the text box.

• Double click on the letter A and the hand
  written text converts to computer generated typed
  text.
• This typed text can be saved as lecture notes for
  future reference.

Module 10 Smartboard VTEL Rooms

• To display Smartboard text from a VTEL room,
  touch anywhere on the board.
• Write text.

Module 10 Smartboard AMX and VTEL Rooms

• To clear the contents of the Smartboard, erase
  the board completely and then press the Clear
  Screen button located at bottom right corner of
  the Smartboard.
