3 Introduction to NSPO
- NSPO (National Space Program Office) is the only
space organization in Taiwan. - Established by the National Science Council (NSC)
of the Executive Yuan in October 1991. - Transformed to Non-Profit Organization in June
2003.
- Dr. Lance Wu becomes NSPO Director General from
July 2004 to lead NSPOs second-phase space
programs (20042018) for - Small Satellite Integration and development
- Space science research
- Advancing space technology
- Promoting industry entrepreneurship

4 NSPOs Contribution to the World
- Remote sensing pictures taken by FORMOSAT-2
(ROCSAT-2) supplied to the Southeast Asian

- Two QM crate TV tests have been successfully
conducted at NSPO because of - Excellent quality in mechanical, electrical, and
thermal preparations at NSPO test facility - Complete test procedures strictly followed
during testing - Good collaborations with CSIST, MIT, CGS, etc
- Thermal correlations to the thermal balance test
done for crate interface temperatures and thus
crate thermal models corrected and verified - The future TV tests and corresponding thermal
analyses will be performed based on good
experience and collaboration in the past.
