System Status

• The system is operational for all planned
  functions. A couple of glitches remain and are
  ticketed with the vendor.
• The Web Content Manager for Squadron is ready and
  available. However, it has not been announced yet
  as it requires documentation being prepared by
  the Multi-media committee
• The system will continue to evolve to improve
  certain functionality and serve new business
  opportunities.
• Any critique of the system as it is presented
  will be noted but not necessarily acted upon
  unless it is a show stopper. It is expected that
  comments and critiques will be added to a list
  when we begin using the system across the
  organization.

Training

• The training program was based on a train the
  trainer with representatives from each District
  assuming the responsibility for training their
  Squadrons. Unfortunately certain district
  trainers have not trained the squadrons in their
  squadron.
• Training was on the CPS/ECP IT system only. It
  was expected that District trainer were to be
  familiar with Windows, browser technology,
  internet technology, word processors or any of
  the standard software supplied by software
  manufacturers.
• The use of many features of the system are wizard
  driven or explained within the application itself
  which precludes the need for instructional
  training by others. System use and familiarity
  will result in self training.

Support

• Most support has been provided by HQ. We did not
  plan to have to assist members about their
  standard operational software such as Windows,
  Internet Explorer, Excel, Word or any of the
  standard software supplied by software
  manufactures. It was expected that the district
  representative be the first line of support.
  However, mots called we had to support were
  related to that.
• An escalation procedure has been implemented to
  address problems that may arise that require the
  participation of Oasis, our software and facility
  provider.

Support (Cont)

• The IT committee is to handle change requests
  from squadrons and members. As people get used to
  the system, requests for changes will diminish.
• There will be a system in place for the ICT
  committee to review change requests. To accept of
  reject, a cost benefit analysis will be done
• Major bugs will be addressed ASAP

Summary

• The system is 100 ready for use.
• As we become more familiar with the flexibility
  and features of this powerful system we will find
  new ways to adapt it to assist us in reducing our
  administration efforts and provide us with useful
  information to help us in our decision making
  process.
• No system will satisfy every needs or wishes
• The system has great potential to assist us in
  our core business. Training.

  Electronic)

Member/ Officer System Requirements

• OS Windows XP
• It may/will work with NT, ME, 2000 but PC may be
  too slow for certain process
• It worked with Vista, but configuration specific
  issues will not be discussed
• Browser IE 6 or IE 7
• For best results and to use all features
• With Windows OS free updates are available
• Browser plug in Macromedia Flash form Adobe
  (Free)
• Office 97-2003 or 2007 in Compatibility mode
• WAN DSL, ADSL or Corporate LAN/WAN
• Wizard driven tool may work with Dial Up but very
  slow
• Dial up too slow for Excel, Active X interaction

Data Ownership and Privacy(Cont)

• For privacy reasons, Squadrons District should
  delete any files containing lapse member
  information at the end of each membership year
  and grace period
