16Pronouncing French words Why is it so hard?
- All languages are based and built upon letter
strings and combinations which build the sounds
required to pronounce the language. - With your native language, your mouth becomes
accustomed to a certain group of letter strings
and hence finds a new set of rules hard to get
its tongue around. - Thats why foreigners have an accent when they
speak English and you have an accent when trying
to pronounce French.
