Training Objectives
  • Develop an efficient model of training combining
    e-learning and in-class sessions.
  • Problem based learning format.
  • Competency based training/assessment.
  • Problem based inclass sessions.
  • Progressive development model.
  • Develop consistent investigative standards and
    protocols throughout Alberta.
  • Increase the skills of all investigators in
    Alberta.
  • Develop an effective evaluation component.

Early Development
  • Identify the competency of a superior
    investigator
  • Focus Groups to identify competencies and how
    they wanted the information to delivered
  • Sustainable program that taught competencies of
    investigations

  • Blended learning combines the latest technologies
    with traditional classroom activities
  • On-line learning is engaging and interactive

  • Use what is learned online for the practical
    portion
