major factors that influence self-esteem in
girls peers, celebrities,the media. Fun
lessons, role play, sharing with friends - YOUR
FUTURE is coming,and it can be very sunny!

What is Camp SOL all about? Too many girls
develop low self-esteem in the middle school
grades from hang-ups about looks, popularity or
messages they get from the media. Yet, this is a
great time for young women to be growing up, with
so much to be excited about! June 9,10,11 from
100-400 in APA high school building In this
camp, you will explore who YOU are, identify
your many strengths, become aware of your
support systems, investigate the service,
opportunities and leadership options available
for you. What will we do? Individual and group
service projects Scavenger hunt Media
literacy activity with your favorite teen
magazines Watch film situations and discuss
things like mean chicks, cliques and dirty
tricks LAUGH and have a great
time! Staff Mrs. Mitzi Moye, APA Director of
Community Service Advisingand visiting APA high
school girls juniors and seniors who are there
now and can serve as positive role models.
Camp Fee 70 includes t-shirt and snacks
