• Area navigation (RNAV). A method of navigation
  that permits aircraft operation on any desired
  flight path. (ICAO 9613 RNP Manual)
• BRNAV RNAV equipment having a lateral
  track-keeping accuracy of ?5 NM and approved
  according to JAA AMJ 20X4 (TGL No. 2) ICAO Doc
  7030.
• P-RNAV RNAV having a lateral track-keeping
  accuracy of ?1 NM and providing the functionality
  enabling approval according to JAA TGL No. 10,
  ICAO Doc 7030.

• Required navigation performance (RNP). A
  statement of the navigation performance accuracy
  necessary for operation within a defined
  airspace. (ICAO 9613 RNP Manual)
• RNP TYPE a designator according to navigational
  performance accuracy in the horizontal plane,
  that is, lateral and longitudinal position
  fixing. (ICAO Doc. 9613). This designator
  invokes all of the navigation performance
  requirements associated with the applicable RNP
  number, which is a containment value. Examples of
  RNP types are RNP-1, RNP-4, RNP-12.6, and
  RNP-20.
• RNP RNAV - The term used to describe an area
  navigation capability that meets all of the
  requirements of the RNP RNAV MASPS. (RTCA Do
  236a, EUROCAE ED 75a)
