4RACI Role Clarity Accountability
What is RACI? Technique for identifying
functional areas, key activities, and
decision-points where ambiguities exist,
differences can be brought out in the open and
resolved through team effort.
- Benefits
- Assists teamwork by charting roles
responsibilities in a consistent manner. - Provides clarify of roles responsibilities.
- Identify accountabilities.
- Eliminates misunderstandings, encourage teamwork
- Reduce duplication of effort
- Improves communication by establishing consult
and informs relationships
The individual(s) who actually does the
objective/initiative. This is the person
responsible for action/implementation. R can be
shared and is determined by the A

The individual(s) to be consulted before
decisions or actions taken related to the

The individual(s) who need to be informed after a

one-way communication.
